Haberdashers’ Aske’s Knights Academy Washroom Refurbishment
Knights Academy opened in 2005 and is based in the London Borough of Lewisham. The academy is attended by children aged 11 to 18 (Years 7-13). Knights Academy is part of the Haberdashes Askes Federation. Which is a multi-academy trust consisting of four secondary and five primary schools in south-east London.
After 15 years of use, the school washrooms had become tired. Recognising a need for a full school washroom refurbishment. Knights Academy wanted fresh facilities for their students to use.
The works were carried out partially in term time so staff were DBS checked before work could begin. There was a need for additional floor screening to equal out flooring levels. Other than those small hurdles, the project was completed swiftly within the timeframe.
Interfix are happy to provide DBS records for any school project, or when requested.
In total, the project spanned over 3 weeks. Transforming Knights Academy’s washroom from dull and overused into a state of the art facility. The transformation started with a full strip and brand new decor. This included walls, ceiling and brand new vinyl flooring.
The new lighting helps brighten the previously dull washroom. Installing solid surface wash troughs and solid grade laminate cubicles will detur wear and tear. Meaning the washroom should sustain a low future cost of ownership. Like most modern washrooms, WC duct panels and sensor taps have been installed alongside new hand dryers.
Haberdashes Askes Knights Academy now has top of the range school washroom facilities thanks to the work of the Interfix team. Offering delightful experiences for all students.
