Brampton Manor Academy Washrooms
Washroom refurbishment specialists, Interfix, installed a new set of smart, durable toilet facilities to help combat vandalism and bullying at an inner-city school.
Brampton Manor Academy, a secondary school in East Ham, London turned to Interfix after its student washroom facilities had been subject to prolonged damage and a site for acts of bullying. Staff toilets were also in need of upgrading, hence the urgent need for a total revamp of all washroom areas.
Interfix assigns a specific team for each refurbishment project to ensure product specification and quantity, as well as the on-site programme of works, meets the client’s precise requirements. At Brampton Manor Academy, all washrooms were stripped of existing facilities in preparation for refurbishment.
The student areas’ modernisation included new wall and floor tiling, a suspended ceiling, LED lighting and an extractor system. Solid grade laminate cubicles, WCs and urinal ducts were also installed, along with corian washtroughs and sensor taps to combat vandalism and provide a smart, durable washroom.
Counter-mounted soap dispensers and Dyson hand-dryers were also fitted as an added hygienic, energy-efficient measure. Staff washrooms were also refurbished to the same standard. To enhance student safety, Interfix installed windows in the school’s corridors to enable staff to monitor washroom activity and report any vandalism or bullying.
