Interfix answered an emergency call to design and install a ‘last minute’ set of staff toilet facilities.

The toilets at Strand on the Green Junior School in west London required an urgent upgrade having become tired and dated over time. Having been ’let down’ by a contractor assigned to the project with refurbishment work due to commence, the school turned to Interfix to deliver the upgrade.

Despite such short notice and with only a small five-week window in which to complete the project, Interfix designed and installed a sparkling new washroom area comprising a semi-unisex toilet facility and separate staff toilets.

As well as drawing-up plans and carrying-out the refurbishment, Interfix specified the product range and quantity of required fixtures and fittings. Having demolished and stripped the toilet of its existing sanitary ware, the washroom specialist’s on-site teams began fitting-out the 34m2 area. New lighting and smart, non-slip flooring were installed, along with bright, durable cubicles, ducts and Corian washtroughs, which are deep enough to prevent splashing and not subject to deterioration.

The eleventh hour call did not detract from Interfix’s ability to provide exactly what was required – a superb set of toilets in an area that is bright, attractive and safe, as well as being durable enough to withstand the long-term rigours of a busy school environment.
