Crafting a washroom experience to attract tenants for a new office space

At Interfix we firmly believe that washroom experiences are integral in a business’ overall staff and customer perception and satisfaction. We design and deliver office washrooms that not only reflect the business’ brand, values and essence, but also stand the test of time and deliver this experience now, and well into the future.

Thanet District Council approached Interfix to support them in the build and refurbishment of their old washrooms, ahead of seeking new tenants for the office floor.

The existing toilets were old, out of use and no longer fit for purpose. In order to attract new tenants, they wished to create a smart corporate feel within their washroom facilities.

A proactive approach to commercial washroom delivery

Due to the existing washrooms being panelled to full height, it was not possible to accurately gather full requirements at initial survey stage, so it was agreed to begin labour on site to strip the existing panelling and agree full scope of required works before the main project began.

The client brief was to create a new experience, to move away from the existing dated design, and to deliver a smart corporate look and positive experience that would support them in attracting new tenants for their office space.

With the space being on the third floor of the building, the project required careful management to ensure the safe and efficient moving of goods across floors.

Whilst not the cheapest of proposals on the table, Thanet District Council chose to work with Interfix due to the elevated design and spec proposed, proactive approach to the project and turnkey delivery – giving the team a blueprint they were proud of that they could emulate as they continue to renovate the remainder of the building.

The result?

A beautiful, high spec, corporate style washroom facility complete with new suspended ceilings, wall tiling, vinyl flooring, cubicles, duct panels, sensor taps to minimise water usage and vanity units complete with back lit mirrors for extra impact and seamless design.
