Rolls Royce – Washroom Refurbishment
Rolls Royce, pioneers in cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet our planet’s vital power needs are based in East Grinstead. Rolls Royce existing facility was just a hand washing space in the corner of the workshop, which was very tired and not fit for purpose. This didn’t match up to the company’s prestigious reputation and therefore action was taken to bring them up to standard.
Interfix were instructed with the project and strip out went ahead. The existing hand washtrough was removed and a complete new washroom area was created in the corner of the workshop to provide adequate facilities. The workforce worked on big machines and therefore had specific hand washing requirements. Interfix fabricated bespoke washtroughs that were deeper than usual to facilitate washing of arms and hands. Hygienic wall cladding was also installed, as well as vinyl flooring, suspended ceiling with lighting and extract. Urinals on duct panels made for ease of maintenance and cleaning along with stainless steel washtroughs, sensor taps and hand dryers.
The project was carried out in a live workshop environment so a temporary washtrough was installed elsewhere for the workforce to use during the project. A successful outcome and happy client!
