Bird and Bird
Bird & Bird is an international law firm with a focus on helping organisations being changed by technology and the digital world. They contacted Interfix when they needed help re-constructing their shower cubicles. Originally the cubicles were constructed from non-waterproof materials which had failed with the high-water content in the shower rooms. Not only were the existing cubicle frontages an issue for the client but also the floors had been laid incorrectly along with a poor shower enclosure design which meant that the shower water could run to the front of the cubicles. Interfix re-designed the shower layout which involved installing wall to wall shower doors to prevent the shower water escaping across the floor and causing the problems.
“Very pleased with Interfix services. Great craftsmanship, good communication, genuine care and professionalism all around”
Petchey Academy
Petchey Academy a coeducational secondary academy in Hackney dedicated to inspiring and supporting every child to be the best that they can. However, their washrooms were in a poor state due to very heavy use and vandalism, they contacted Interfix to work with them on a rolling programme to refurbish the toilets. The project was carried out during term time, as normal all our operatives were DBS checked, and we installed full height hoarding in the corridor to create a safe working environment. This project is a great example of how successful projects can be during working term time.
Boxpark Croydon
Boxpark Croydon, calls itself ‘The Evolution Of The Street Revolution’ and has the look and feel of a modern day Covent Garden. They contacted us when existing pipework was leaking constantly and causing issues. Despite the timescales being critical due to the venue being in constant use, Interfix pulled out all the stops to ensure the project was completed on time.
Lancing College
Lancing College in Shoreham, West Sussex contacted Interfix when they had plans for a full refurbishment project of their girl’s toilet. They wanted the girl’s toilet to double up as a visitors toilet, therefore the new spec had to reflect this. The project commenced in a short holiday period, but we were unable to complete the tight schedule in this time. As agreed with the client we continued working during the term time, which was a breeze for Interfix as all of our on-site team are DBS checked.
Nishkam School
Nishkam School, based in London, is a multi-faith school and takes a distinctive approach to many traditional faith schools. Ensuring facilities and the building is kept up to standard is of high importance to them. They contacted Interfix to carry out their washroom refurbishment project, they wanted to revamp the current area and provide a more up-market and space efficient washroom. The client re-modelled the washrooms, and Interfix helped out on the design and final cubicle specification and construction. The project consisted of one main washroom area, and whilst the design of the washrooms was of high importance they also had to allow for a high footfall of pupils whilst also being robust and private. The client also wanted easy access to mechanical servicing for ongoing maintenance. Despite being carried out during the busy summer holiday period, with no room for error, Interfix successfully completed the project.
SOAS University
SOAS University of London, is the world’s leading institution for the study of Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Having up to date Washrooms is key for this kind of organisation, they approached Interfix very last minute due to a budget constraint. The project consisted of full refurbishment of 6 washrooms. Last minute projects are always a challenge, and despite changes to the brief which resulted in delays, Interfix pulled out the stops and got the project completed before the students returned.
