Interfix’s design and installation teams demonstrated their wealth of skills and experience during a challenging washroom refurbishment at Sandy Lodge Golf Club in Middlesex.

With a number of high-profile members, the club was determined to uphold its excellent reputation by improving its toilet and shower facilities as well as creating a drying/dressing room and separate laundry. Interfix was required to carry out a complete strip-out and refurbishment of the areas within the client’s strict seven-week deadline.

During the strip-out stage, the walls were found to be in a very poor state and not structurally sufficient to facilitate the new design. To overcome the issue, Interfix developed a fabricated steel framework to support a large section of the wall. This successful solution meant products, which were specified to withstand the long-term rigours associated with a popular golf club, were then able to be installed.

All areas were fitted with suspended ceilings with LED lighting. For the toilet, shower and dressing room facilities, wall and floor tiling was applied along with solid grade laminate flush-fronted cubicles. Acrylic shower cubicles engraved with the club’s logo were also installed, as well as solid-surface vanity tops and a solid-grade laminate towel storage unit.

Despite the unscheduled repairs required to make good the damaged walls, Interfix was able to deliver the refurbished toilet and shower areas and create a drying/dressing room within the agreed seven-week timeframe. It’s provided Sandy Lodge Golf Club with facilities, notable in design and durability, for all its members to enjoy.
